HND1A Events Question 3 Themed Events


Question 3

The extravagantly decorated Café de Paris in London regularly plays host to exciting and lavishly themed events throughout the year, none more so, than the New Year’s Eve Ball, which this year will be themed around a Masquerade Ball.

Use the links to the Café de Paris website to read about some of the other creatively themed party events that the venue has hosted this year. This information should help you when answering the following questions.

After the New Year celebrations have died down, the next major event on most people’s calendar is usually Valentine’s Day on the 14th February. Post the answers to the following questions onto this Blog.

a)    State the name of a themed event you could hold on this day at Café de Paris

b)   List 6 key resources that you would required for the event to go ahead

    a) The themed event I would have would be Lover's Lunch.
    The colours used throughout the cafe would be red. There would be red love heart balloons displayed and candles lit.
    The lights would be dimmed to create a relaxed atmosphere.
    The type of music which would be played would be Marvin Gaye: Let's Get It On and Bryan Adams: Everything I Do (I Do It For You).

    b) Resources I would need for Lover's Lunch would be:
    Decorations for the room
    Candelabras for the centre of the tables
