Question 1.

Block Two, Week Two, doesn't time fly when you're having fun!

To get you blogging, we are going to start with a simple question about how you are enjoying your college course so far.

Please post your response to the following tasks.

a) In less than 100 words, discuss which subject has been your favourite on your college course so far, giving two reasons to support your choice?

    a) I think my favourite subject so far has been Event Applications. I'm enjoying this subject so far because it allows you to gain more practical experience when organising events. Also, its fun working in teams and I can see it being an exciting subject.

    A) My favorite subject on my course so far has been Event Industry: An Introduction because it has been interesting to learn all the different aspects of this subject. I have also enjoyed meeting new people and getting to know everyone better within this class as it is such a big unit and takes up time it brings everyone closer together.

      I agree, it was a great chance to get to know the class better, but you could have gave more detail about the individual aspects that we learned, as we did learn a lot.

    a) My favourite classes have been Event Applications, this is when we can start to get invloved in the organisation and planning of events. I also like Marketing in the new block, im used to this kind of subject and i find it easier to understand.

    my favourite subject has been Conferences because the unit showed me a different part of the industry that i had not known about and also because of this i found the subject very interesting.

    My favourite subject so far has been Conferencing.

    I found the subject very interesting and it gave me an insight of different parts of the event industry I could work in.

    I also enjoyed having Mandy as a lecturer.

    My favourite subject so far has been Marketing in block 2, i find the subject interesting and have gained and learned a lot of information on things i.e Disney that i never knew. I look forward to the rest of the classes in the block. I also enjoyed budgeting with Jane in block 2 as I found the class fairly easy and thought Jane taught it rather well.

    a) My favourite class so far has been Event Industry. Personally I think this has been the most interesting. I remember it was the first class we had on our first day of the timetable and after Caroline had finished the lesson I felt excited about what was in store for the future of the course. As we were timetabled for it twice a week, it was a great opportunity in that class for us all to get to know each other. We learned the basics about events and it was great fun all starting together.

    a) My favorite class so far in this course has been budgeting. I enjoyed budgeting as i understood the subject and found it reasonably easy. I also enjoy event applications as I like the team building exercise's we do and look forward to planning our events.

    A. I enjoyed budgeting and funding as i feel i gained good knowledge from this subject and linked the fact that it was challenging.

      Likewise. I didn't feel confident with this subject at first and wasn't brilliant at maths at school so I was not looking forward to this subject.

      However I was surprised with how quickly I understood the theory and also happy with the help and experience given from the lecturer.

    a) My favorite class so far, through my events course has been Marketing. I find it incredibly interesting how manipulative and smart that big companies are and it has really opened my eyes to how the marketing and advertising world works. I also like how Kenny teaches the class and it is broken down into writing, listening and watching videos of commercials and analyzing them.

    a) My favourite class so far has been Marketing as it has been one of the most interesting subjects as there is a lot to learn and have found out a lot of things about places I didn't know. I think it is a fairly easy subject and Kenny is a good lecturer.

    1a.)My favourite class for block 1 was Events Industry: An Introduction. This class showed the practical aspects that can be involved with events themselves and how to deal with any constraints or problems that may occur on the day.

    I would say so far up until now I have enjoyed the marketing classes the most as I have an interest in promotions and all the clever little methods and unseen ideas behind the promotions. I Also believe that it is a vital part of being an event management as you need to you know your market very well, and the marketing classes are tutoring me well in this area. Also the lecturer also explains the content very well and I feel at ease and I am coping very well with it which makes it more enjoyable

    The subject I am enjoying the most so far is Events Application. This is because students tie and develop a more practical approach with their event ideas and establish responsibilities in their practical abilities.
